A Kenyan woman in US has passed away surrounded by her family and friends. Betty Wanjiku Maina died on April 16th, 2014 after a short illness. She was the daughter of the Late Hannah Nyambura Maina, mother to Nisha Abdul Karim, sister to Ben, Nganga(Timo), Maina, Mugi, George, Muthoni, Nduta and Njeri.

Gish was reported missing since April 29th, 2014 and was found on May 15th, 2014.

Death has occurred of Mrs Zipporah Waithera Kinyanjui of Dallas, Texas a member of Neema Gospel Church, who was called to rest on the Father’s chest on Sunday May 18th, morning at 4am at the Medical Center of Dallas.
She has been sickly on and off since Oct. 2013 but got worse in Feb 2014, where she was hospitalized and was in ICU unit for last 2 months. She fought an honorable and dignified fight all along and was an encouragement to us all even in her state all through but the Lord had need of her to Himself.
We shall miss her, her love of life, laughter and a very open heart in loving all those around her. Her kindness to the less fortunate will always be remembered.
She was the mother to Agnes Shikungu, Anne Karuga, Anthony Kinyanjui, Wangeci Karuga of Neema Gospel Church and Caroline Wambui.
Mother- in- love to Joshua Shikungu. Mum, you have fought a good fight and won the race. We love you and always will. We are happy to know that you are no longer in pain and are dancing with the angels as you loved to dance.

She was the granddaughter to the late Kenyan historian and educationist John Nikola Bwire Osogo and the late Mary Agola Osogo. Her paternal grandparents are the late John Caleb Odhiambo and Mrs Alice Odhiambo.
Nicola was the wife to Roger Maris Taylor and mother to Paj Ruva Tiellen, a beautiful eleven year old girl, as well as Gertrude – an orphan she adopted while in high school.
She was the second born to the late Shadrack Oduor Odhiambo and Dolorosa Osogo. Sister to thePolly Cynthia Achieng and the late Margaret Audrey Odhiambo. Aunt to Mary Lavinia Agesa, Bryceson Adaka Agesa and Malik Zion Kinoti.
Nicola passed on the 28th of May after a long illness bravely borne.

A Kenyan woman passed away in her sleep in Arlington, TX on Saturday morning.
Diana “Chela” Mutai, 24, was found unresponsive by relatives at around 9.15am. She received first aid from her dad and then paramedics were called in. They rushed her to the Medical Center of Arlington, where she was pronounced dead.
On the previous night, Diana had attended bible study before watching a movie. She had been baptized a week before and was in high spirits.
She was a student at the University of Texas in Arlington (UTA) majoring in Social Work and was working closely with refugees as she worked on her degree program.
Diana leaves behind her parents Eric and Lucy Mutai who hail from Nakuru. She also leaves behind her siblings, Maggie, Betty, Angela and Collins Mutai.
Subsequently, friends and family will be gathering daily at their home for prayer and support at 1910 Lennox Ln, Arlington, TX, 76018.

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden tragic demise of Duncan Kangethe of Dallas, Texas which occurred on Wednesday, July 9th 2014.
The late Duncan was born July, 5th 1990 and is survived by parents Mr. Paul Ngotho and Mrs. Mercy Kangethe and siblings Rose Kangethe, Stephen Kangethe and Kevin Kangethe all of Dallas, TX.
He was a recent graduate from University of Texas in Arlington (UTA) where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Finance in December 2013.
Prior to his demise, Duncan’s very last days on earth were joyful & blessing to him & those who loved him as well. He had just secured a new job, moved in to a new residence & had just celebrated his 24th birthday.

A Kenyan woman has died in Austin, Texas after undergoing surgery.
29 year old Lucyann Mwikali Nyamai passed away at an St David’s Austin Medical Center on Tuesday July 8th, 2014. Mwikali had been suffering from Multiple Sclerosis and had developed some complications.
According to committee members, she came to the Austin area in 2007. She leaves behind a two year old son.
Mwikali had no close relatives in the US. Her parents, Joseph Nyamai Kivivu and Catherine Muthoni have been notified and are hoping the community will rally around to enable them receive their daughter’s body home.
She hails from Kasinga sub-location of Machakos county. She is also survived by a brother and two sisters.
The Kenyan community in Austin is inviting friends and well wishers to a funds drive on Friday. July 18th, 2014 at the Falcon Pointe Resident’s Club House, 19015 Falcon Pointe Blvd, Pflugerville, TX 78660 from 6-9 P.M. to help take her body to Kenya.

We regret to announce the death of James Mwangi Ngururi, dear husband to Hellen Mwangi of Nakuru,Kenya, beloved father to Antony Mwangi (Anto) of Arlington, Texas, Caroline Musili (Mama Michelle) of Nairobi, Kenya, Millicent Kiama of Grand Prairie, Texas, Peter Mwangi (Pips) of Arlington, Texas and Christine Sithole (Mo) of Frisco, Texas.
Mr. Mwangi passed away on Saturday July 19th 2014 in Narobi, Kenya after battling a long illness. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a proud father and grandfather, a gentleman and a reknown businessman in Nakuru Kenya back in the 90s, popularly referred to as “baba keki” for his kindness towards the town’s homeless children who he frequently fed back when he was active in the bakery business.
His pride and joy was to see his children and grandchildren succeed in life and was quick to shower praise and adoration with every chance he got.
In honor of him, his family, friends and well wishers have set up this fund in order to assist in meeting his outstanding medical bills, funeral expenses and travel expenses for family members who will be traveling from the USA to attend the burial.

A Kenyan man has died of a gunshot wound in California, US.
Randy Kamau Kimani, 22, had been rushed to Riverside County Regional Medical Center in critical condition but succumbed to his injury.
Police did not disclose details of the shooting that happened on Tuesday last week but said the matter was under investigation.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s department, however, told the Nation that last month Kimani had been arrested and charged with three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license and petty theft.
“I can confirm to you that the deceased had been arrested on June 3 this year,” a spokesperson at the Sheriff’s office said in a phone interview.
On Friday, the family held prayers in Moreno Valley, California, followed by a fundraiser at Brookhurst Park in Anaheim, California, the next day.

a 25 yr old Kenyan man killed in road accident in Martin County Texas
A Kenyan man was killed in a deadly road accident on Wednesday morning in Martin County, Texas.
25 year old Goerge Mutua fondly known as George Liberty was killed when his FORD 150 was struck by a vehicle which blew out a tire causing it to lose control and veer off the road.
The accident happened on Highway 349, about 20 miles north of Midland just before 6 a.m.
Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers told a local news station that, a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado had a blowout causing the vehicle to veer into the northbound lanes of traffic hitting a Mutua’s vehicle.
The collision caused Mutua’s vehicle to go into a bar ditch and roll over.
Mutua, was partially ejected when the vehicle overturned.
Mutua was killed in the accident and the driver of the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, 24-year-old William Michael Enriquez from Abilene, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital with injuries.
Mutua graduated from Texas Tech University in May of 2014 where he graduated top of his class with Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Engineering.

It is with great sorrow that we inform you all of the passing to Glory of Mr.Joseph Mburu Muikamba at Mass General Hospital on Jul 24, 2014. In the true support fashion of our community, prayers are being held daily at his home at 129 Bailey St, Lawrence, Ma., at 6pm.
There will be formal prayers for the family this Sunday, July 27th, 2014 at 4pm. at his home.
A fundraiser has also been planned for Sunday August 3rd, 2014 at 2pm at St Michaels Catholic Church, 543 Bridge St, Lowell., Ma to help offset the cost of sending the Late Mr. Muikamba back home to Kenya. Please come and show your support to the family, as we prepare to lay our beloved to his final resting place.

Come celebrate the life of Rev. Mary Nkoyo who went to be with the Lord morning of June 4th after battling with a chronic illness for over 4 years.
She was a strong woman of faith who loved life and her family to the very end. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Wilfred Nkoyo, her daughter, Caroline Ngure (Waithaka) and son Mwaura Nkoyo.
She has also left behind a Son-in-law, Daniel Waithaka Ngure, grand-daughter, Tumaini Waithaka and daughter-in-law, Njeri Nkoyo.
Friends and family will be meeting at 7pm on Friday and Saturday June 6th and 7th at Nkoyos family residence located at:
