We are sad to announce the passing away of Tahshal Fletcher Kimani on May 19, 2015
Tahshal was born on May 14, 1980 in Toledo Ohio to her mother Gwen Nance and her late father Gerald Fletcher.
She is survived by her loving husband Kevin Kimani; her sisters Tara Nance and Teleya Fletcher; her Aunts Pearl Humphrey, Minnie Austin and Joyce Penn; her Uncles Gregg (Tammy) Fletcher, and Daryl (Priscilla) Fletcher; special nieces Amaria and Shantel; nephews T.J, Omar and Tyler; special cousins Ta-kaira and Terrell Jr.; favorite cousin Ta-ta among other cousins; and a lot of special friends who graduated with Tahshal from World Harvest Bible College: Joy, Melissa, Scharita, Monique, Tina and Novella.
She was preceded in death by her father Gerald Fletcher; Uncle Terrell Nance and Grandmother Eva Nance.
On her husband’s side she is survived by parents in law Charles Kimani and Rosemary Kimani, her sisters Eva Kimani and Joan Kimani, and their brother Philip Kamau.
Tahshal graduated from Rogers High School in Toledo Ohio.
She also graduated from World Harvest Bible College in 2002 with a degree in Pastoral studies. Tahshal was always passionate about serving God in ministry and serving others with zeal and with a bright smile on her face.
Tahshal also worked for Bishop Thomas Weeks III at Global Destiny in Washington D.C in 2003 as his assistant. She also assisted both Bishop Weeks and Prophetess Juanita Bynum during the launch of the ‘Teach me how to love you’ marriage conference.
Tahshal moved to Houston TX in 2007 and worked for Bishop Shelton Bady at Harvest Time Church as the Director of Women’s Ministry.
Two years later in 2009, Tahshal moved to Dallas TX and became a member at her current church, Christ International Church located in Irving. She served the senior pastor, Dr Lufile Ehambe and the First Lady pastor Fariala Ehambe as the church administrator. She loved her ministry duties at the church, and she served and helped everyone delightfully, with a smile on her face.
It is at Christ International Church that Tahshal met her loving husband Kevin Kimani. They got married on November 19, 2011 in Toledo Ohio.
Tahshal graduated with a Bachelors degree in General Studies at Texas Woman’s University located in Denton TX in August 2013.
Tahshal also travelled to Kenya with her husband Kevin from December 2013 to January 2014 to visit with her husband’s family. She really loved Kenya and made lots of friends. All the in-laws and relatives in Kenya loved her so much. She and her husband went on a three day safari at one of the world’s most exclusive reserves, the Masai Mara. She enjoyed the scenery, the animals, and witnessed the spectacular sight of lions enjoying their morning breakfast –a huge buffalo that they had hunted and killed.
Tahshal also received a certificate from the International Business School of Finance and Economics at Yunnan University, located in China. She received this certificate after participating at the University of North Texas and Yunnan University joint cultural and educational exchange in 2014 in China. Tahshal enjoyed being a cultural exchange student in China. She loved the Chinese people and made lots of friends, and one of her future goals was to return to China and help the poor.
Tahshal also graduated with a Masters of Arts in Sociology on May 8, 2015 at Texas Woman’s University.
Tahshal Fletcher Kimani was an inspiration to so many people. She loved serving the Almighty God and the people of God. She had a positive impact to all who met her. She was a true servant of God at heart, and will be greatly missed by all.
Tahshal went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on May 19, 2015. We thank God for the life and joy of knowing Tahshal.
Job 1: 21 states that: ‘The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.’
There will be two memorial services on May 23rd 2015 at 7pm at Christ International Church located at 1104 Luke St, Irving, TX 75061 and the 2nd one on May 30th at 6.30pm at the same location where a fundraise to help ease the medical and funeral expenses will also take place. Our dear Tahshal will be laid to rest in Toledo Ohio on June 6th.
