Death Announcement: David Nganga Mburu of Lawrence, Kansas

The Kenyan community in Lawrence, Kansas is mourning the death of David Nganga Mburu.

Mr Nganga was at the time of his death working with the University of Kansas. He has left behind his wife and three kids. He moved to Lawrence three and a half years ago.

He started feeling unwell about three weeks ago when he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer at the that led to his hospitalization at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 30th, 2016.

The community is deeply shocked and grieved with the sudden death of David.

Mr Nganga’s final wish was to be laid to rest in Kenya.  Family and friends would like to transport his remains to his preferred resting place.

Prince malcom Nyangenya a son to Nyangenya Job Omanga and Lydia Moraa fell from 3rd floor of their apartment balcony and crushed his head, he was rushed to Baylor Grapeveine by paramedics where he was pronounced dead later that evening.

She was the beloved wife to *The Late Yudah Odundo Owuor;*  Mother to our
Sisters *Letty & Josephine Owuor & brother Mark Odundo…all of DFW* among others. She was Sister to *Karen Odongo Ochieng’ (Nyagowete),* Aunty to *Dorothy Ouma of Arlington TX)* among others. The Owuor’s have sadly joined “orphanhood”.

We thank God for Mom’s life. She was a mother, granny, sister, aunty & mentor to many. Her positive contributions have blessed & impacted many lives especially in academic circles. She was a headmistress  & teacher of various academic institutions. She also loved the Lord deeply.

Former Diasporian dies in Nakuru a year after relocation from Worcester, MA

A Kenyan man who relocated to Kenya after a lengthy stay in Boston has died suddenly in Nakuru.

Joseph Kenja Kagotho, 68, lived in Worcester, MA for a lengthy period of time before relocating back to Kenya.

He was found slumped against a door and unresponsive in his house moments before he was supposed to attend a New Year’s event together with his sister Lucy Muthumbi (Wasaimo) who lives in Lowell, MA and was on holiday in Kenya. It was suspected he had suffered a cardiac arrest.

He was rushed to hospital but died later from what doctors described as a brain hemorrhage .

Kagotho fled to exile in the US from the regime of former President Daniel Arap Moi. He lived there till last year. In the 1980’s and 1990’s, he was very active in Nakuru politics.

 

 

26 year old Kenyan in Woburn, MA dies suddenly on New Years day

A 26 year old Kenyan and long time resident of Woburn,Massachusetts died suddenly in his sleep on the morning of New years day January 1st 2017

Anthony Njoroge had no known mental or known health issues.

After celebrating and crossing over from December 31st 2016 to January 1st 2016  with friends and family,he went to bed that night and did not wake up the following morning.

Anthony worked for  Interstate All Battery Center in Woburn,Massachusetts.

He was the beloved son of Margaret Njoroge,cherished brother of Edward Njoroge and his wife Khawa Kamara,Diana Byomuhangi, Dora Byomuhangi, and Ridge Byomuhangi all of Woburn,Massachusetts

Antony is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Kenyan man was found dead along a fence in Lakewood, Washington.

The body of Sam Nyutu was recovered by Lakewood homicide detectives after a passerby called 911 early Monday after seeing a man’s lifeless body lying along the fence line of a boat repair business.

According to the police, the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy to determine Nyutu’s cause of death.

The police noted that there were no obvious signs of trauma, gunshot wounds, nor knife wounds. They said it could be natural or something bad.

Detectives found alcohol in a bag and drugs on Nyutu.

The detectives will be combing the area for anyone who may have seen him before his death as well as scan surveillance footage of cameras in the area.
